This gorgeous HUGE Desk or Table is made from a very thick, large Hard Maple tree harvested in Hawkins County Tennessee. We cut these natural edge slabs and then stack them to air dry for a number of years in one of our barns before they are ready to become funiture. After slowly drying, it is sanded very smooth and then finished with durable clear laquer. Legs are fabricated locally and are made of 3" tube steel welded to a plate that is mounted on the underside of the slab and secured with a number of lag bolts. There are leg levelers on each leg, mounted on the inside bottom, not viewable. We make these tables to last all your days and then to be passed on to the next generation.
